Pulling from dreams and memories, Ali Kouri’s sound is an ethereal combination of art-rock and shoegaze that blurs the line between the literal and the abstract.

Her works build from experimentation and collaboration, with a focus on distortion and alteration of sound and an instrument’s primary function, co-composition and the physicality of sound.

Ali is the singer/guitarist for art-rock band Museums. From 2013-2022, she led Montreal’s female-fronted, dream-folk-rock band The Day Dreamers. Kouri has performed at Osheaga, Ottawa Bluesfest, Mondo (NYC), Canadian Music Week, Festival du Cirque and Starlight Foundation’s Strangers in the Night, and has been interviewed and reviewed on CBC, CJAD, CJLO, CKUT, Global News (all Canadian), Maastricht Student Radio (NL), York Calling (UK), Punchland (NYC), Outlet Mag (AU) and more.
